Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complexvia Facebook Join us Feb. 16 at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to witness the historic launch of the Atlas V 551 rocket. Scheduled for liftoff between 5:46 and 6:30 p.m., the Atlas rocket launch is nearly 50 years to the day from John Glenn’s historic flight aboard an Atlas, during which he became the first American to orbit the Earth. Launch viewing from the main Visitor Complex is included in the price of a general admission ticket and includes launch commentary broadcast over the public address system. Visitor Complex admission is $43+ tax for adults and $33+ tax for children ages 3-11. In honor of the 50th anniversary of Glenn’s flight, through March 7, an adult annual pass is just $50.
