Florida State Parksvia Facebook Dr. Beach named two Florida State Parks in their list of America's Best Beaches 2012! Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park came in 4th and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park was ranked 8th. Since Dr. Beach first began ranking US beaches in 1991, Florida beaches have won 1st place seven times. Five of those seven were state parks.
