Race fans will love Inverness, home to the Citrus County Speedway and its figure-eight course. The city also offers a golf and country club, as well as pet-friendly Fort Cooper State Park. Inverness is located in Citrus County, about 40 miles southwest of Ocala.

Dr. Beach named two Florida State Parks in their list of America's Best Beaches 2012! Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park came in 4th and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park was ranked 8th. Since Dr. Beach first began ranking US beaches in 1991, Florida beaches have won 1st place seven times. Five of those seven were state parks.
