Description
Created in 1947, the Everglades National Park encompasses nearly one-and-one-half million acres of South Florida wilderness. Key wilderness areas include the Anhinga Trail, Gumbo Limbo Trail, Lone Pine Key and Mahogany Hammock Trail. Bordered by Big Cypress National Preserve, the Everglades National Park is but one small part of the Everglades area.
